About

I was born and raised on my parents’ dairy farm. I am the youngest of five children, having three sisters and a brother. I attended Pelham High Secondary School and when finished purchased the family farm in 1974.

I have been married to my wife, Candice, for nearly 40 years and we had four children— three sons and a daughter. The boys played hockey in the Pelham Minor Hockey Association. As they played I coached for nearly a decade. My wife was team trainer for some of these years. Sadly, we lost our middle son in 2023 to the sudden onset of an undiagnosed medical condition.

In 2012 I sold the dairy business, as milking cows is a young man’s game. I now grow cash crops such as corn, wheat, soybeans and hay.

I had always been interested in watching the Town’s business from a distance, but with the cows gone I had enough time to get more involved. I was voted on Council as a representative of Ward 1 in 2014. I served three years of my term, before resigning in November of 2017 because of serious ethical concerns I had concerning Council’s actions.

Many Pelham residents shared those concerns, and in 2018 I was honoured to be elected Mayor of Pelham. Since then I’ve been working with Pelham Town Council and the Niagara Regional Council of Niagara to serve the people of Pelham to the best of my ability. Have a concern or suggestion regarding Town operations or policies? Let me know.
